What does your PTO membership support?
Your membership dues and donations go directly back into our school community. The MBPTO helps fund, organize, and support programs, events, resources, and experiences for our students and staff throughout the entire school year.
Student programs & experiences
All-School Assemblies — The PTO sponsors approximately 4 assemblies throughout the school year, bringing educational, interactive, and entertaining programs directly to our students.
Tri-District Middle School Dance — Organized for students from Oceanport, West Long Branch, and Monmouth Beach. The MBPTO fully funds the cost for Monmouth Beach students.
Class Trips — The PTO helps support class trips in collaboration with the Monmouth Beach Education Foundation.
Bubbles for Autism — The PTO supports this special school-wide event promoting autism awareness and inclusion.
L.E.A.D. Graduation — The PTO sponsors the L.E.A.D. program graduation, formerly known as D.A.R.E.
Middle School Sports Recognition Banquet — The PTO hosts and fully funds a banquet honoring our middle school athletes, including trophies, recognition, food, and refreshments at no cost to students or families.
Talent Show — The PTO launched and funded our school's first Talent Show, covering all costs so students could participate at no charge.
School Play — The PTO funds production needs associated with the school play.
Camp Bernie — The PTO helps fund this memorable student experience.
8th Grade Support — The PTO supports our graduating class with a $1,000 donation as well as 2 student grants.
Family & community events
Daughter & Dear One Dance — Organized and fully funded by the PTO with no cost to participating families.
Son & Special Person Event — Organized and fully funded by the PTO with no cost to participating families.
Spring Fest — One of our biggest family events of the year, fully funded by the PTO.
Halloween Family Event — Organized and funded by the PTO.
Halloween School Parade — The PTO sponsors prizes, activities, and festivities surrounding the school parade.
Back-to-School Night Social — A welcome event hosted by the PTO to bring families together at the beginning of the school year.
Holiday Bazaar — Organized and fully funded by the PTO.
Resources for our students
Folders & Calendars for Every Student — Purchased by the PTO at the beginning of each school year.
Field Day — Organized in partnership with our PE teachers. The PTO covers all associated costs, including Field Day T-shirts for every student at no charge to families.
Lunch Program — The school lunch program is fully supported, organized, and operated by the PTO.
Book Fair — Organized and fully funded by the PTO.
Gym & Auditorium Sound System — In 2025, the PTO purchased and installed a new sound system for our school gym/auditorium.
Supporting our teachers & staff
Teacher Supplies & Resources — The PTO fulfills teacher supply and classroom resource requests throughout the year. We are proud that PTO funding has allowed us to support every teacher request submitted to us.
Beginning-of-Year Teacher Luncheon — We welcome our teachers and staff back each year with a special luncheon.
Teacher Appreciation Week — The PTO celebrates our incredible teachers and staff throughout the entire week with meals, treats, gifts, and surprises.
Teacher of the Year & Supporting Staff Member of the Year — The PTO celebrates and recognizes these outstanding staff members with a special grant and gift.
Secretary & Nurse Appreciation Day — We recognize and thank our amazing school secretaries and nurse for everything they do for our students and families.
